FTUI’s Interdisciplinary Master of Urban and Regional Planning Study Program won the first accreditation with a “Very Good” rating from BAN-PT. This result was obtained after previously on Tuesday (21/11), this Study Program carried out field assessment activities from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This activity is part of the BAN-PT accreditation process to assess and determine the quality status of universities based on predetermined criteria.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Widodo Wahyu Purwanto, DEA., Head of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Education and Research Unit (UP2IK) and Head of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in charge of the PWK study program said, “The assessment process that has been carried out is the basis for obtaining constructive input and suggestions, allowing us to continue to improve the quality and academic governance of FTUI, especially in PWK FTUI. With a commitment that involves all parties to make improvements and innovations, FTUI will be able to achieve even better standards of academic excellence.”
While the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU, expressed his hope for the accreditation that has been obtained, “This accreditation process is proof of FTUI’s commitment to maintain and improve higher education standards, one of which is in the field of regional and urban planning. FTUI will continue to strive to answer the challenges of the development of science and technology through improving academic quality. Hopefully in the future, PWK FTUI can improve its accreditation even better and achieve the Superior predicate.”
Dr.-Ing. Ova Candra Dewi, S.T., M.Sc., Head of the Interdisciplinary Master of Urban and Regional Planning Study Program of FTUI said that the “Very Good” ranking as a result of this first accreditation represents the quality of education of the PWK FTUI Interdisciplinary Master Study Program. “The assessment process previously carried out covered several aspects, such as macro policies for institutional development, face-to-face systems, management systems, checking documents, confirming aspects of the implementation of higher education management for functional areas, as well as the involvement of education staff, lecturers, students, alumni, and external stakeholders which are summarized in the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self-Evaluation Report (LED).”
