The welcoming event was attended by Dr. Nyoman Suwartha, S.T., M.T., M.Agr., FTUI Education Manager; Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC, Head of FTUI International Office; and Dyas L. Citraningrum, S.T., M.T., International Class Education Coordinator.
FTUI introduced the main e-learning platforms that students will use during their studies at the University of Indonesia, namely E-Learning Management Systems (EMAS) and Academic Information Systems – Next Generation (SIAK-NG). Students are also informed about additional classes that will be held during the first eight weeks to help them catch up on lecture material that they may have missed. The supporting lecturers will contact students directly to provide information regarding these additional classes.
Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC, as the Head of the FTUI International Office, expressed her hope that foreign students from the TIAS Program would have a high spirit in catching up with academic materials. Additional class schedules will be integrated into the SIAK-NG platform, so students can easily access their entire schedule of academic activities. In addition, Fadhilah Muslim encouraged students to be involved in non-academic activities, such as sports clubs and student organizations, which will be facilitated by Dyas L. Citraningrum, S.T., M.T., so that they can get to know more about various organizations at FTUI.
Fadhilah Muslim also emphasized that the FTUI International Office is always ready to help students in dealing with various obstacles, both academic and non-academic. With this support, FTUI hopes that foreign students can adapt well and undergo their studies at FTUI successfully and smoothly.
The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU said, “We are pleased to welcome the arrival of foreign students from The Indonesian Aid Scholarship (TIAS) Program at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia.
