The Naval Architecture Study Program is one of two International Class Study Programs that opened this year for UI New Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This program certainly requires expanding cooperation with partners at foreign universities. For this reason, the Naval Architecture Study Program opens opportunities for foreign universities to collaborate. AMC University of Tasmania Australia is a potential partner who can collaborate with us.”

Rear Admiral (Retd) Michael Van Balen, The Outgoing Principal of AMC responded by saying, “The University of Tasmania is one of two universities in Australia that has an international program in the field of Marine Engineering. There are two program schemes, namely 4 and 5-year programs. Currently, we have 2+2 programs with RMIT, Flinders, UNSW and Auckland Uni. Schemes that can be prospected, namely 2+2 programs. For the Marine Engineering Study Program, in the first year the curriculum focuses on aerodynamics and marine construction, then in the following year on naval systems engineering.” he explained.

From this discussion, an agreement was produced that AMC, University of Tasmania would like to collaborate with and become a partner of FTUI, especially in terms of the International Program for the Study Program of Marine Engineering. Meanwhile, this collaboration stage will enter the initial stage with the creation of an MOU to be able to proceed to the AOI Double Degree.
