Tropical Renewable Energy Center, TREC

TREC is a research center that focuses on empowering renewable energy sources to support sustainable ntional energy security. TREC’s main vision is to become a reference in developing renewable energy innovations in Indonesia and other tropicl countries. To achieve this vision, TREC applies a strategic approach including the application of science and technology in designing methods and systems to increase efficient and environmentally friendly renewable energy sources; manufacture of prototypes of solar cells (PV) and other types of renewable energy; provide policy studies to the government; and actively play an important role in providing education and awareness of the importance of renewable energy in society.
